Adult Confirmation Preparation

The Adult Confirmation Course is a pre-sacramental program for adults (18 and older) who have already received the Catholic sacraments of Baptism and First Holy Communion and are seeking to receive the sacrament of Confirmation.

If you live in the Diocese of Joliet, check with your local parish first to see if an Adult Confirmation class is offered. If you live in the Archdiocese of Chicago, please call 312-534-8351 or go to www.pvm.archchicago.org for information on classes in your area.

You will be asked to complete an Adult Confirmation Registration Form and provide copies of the certificates verifying that you have received your Baptism and First Communion. You will need a sponsor who has received all his/her sacraments and is living according to the teachings of the Catholic Church. Adults will be confirmed at the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus in Joliet.

Adults who have not received the Catholic sacraments of Baptism and First Holy Communion should contact Deacon Matt Tretina at mtretina@stalexanderparish.org to participate in the OCIA process.
